The water photography experiment

I had not been photographing anything experimental for a long time. Friday, when I got home and took a glass of water something hit me in form of an idea about trying to capture water.

I fetched my the camera and stand, quickly built a set from water tap and a blue Iittala Kartio-glass and started to shoot away. Results were quite interesting Surprised.

As it is not good to start browsing the pictures still in the camera I mainly focused to the photography it self. After a half an hour and about 20 shots later I ran the images trough post processing. I took the idea of freezing liquids a bit further and started to think about for example running white coloured liquids trough some kind of a system and then colouring the liquid with flashes. The result would look something like green, red and e.g. blue shapes formed by freezed liquid in motion.
