The water photography experiment #2

The results I got earlier from experimenting with dripping water and close ups were so interesting that I decided to take a step further. Literally, I took that step furher and went macro.

I don’t own a proper macro lens yet so I had to improvise with a reverse ring. The idea of the ring is that it has on the other side a mount that fits to the camera body and on the other side a screw mount that fits to the front of the lens. And as the name describes, with the ring the lens can be used reversed. Using the lens reversed enables us to have awesome Surprised macro’s.

The set up was just as simple as with the first one. A blue Iittala Kartio-glass, water tap, some background stuff and of course a flash-unit mounted to camera mounted to camera tripod.
